Dr Moopanar has a keen interest in conditions that affect the elbow and has been appointed as a Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon at Royal North Shore Hospital. He has completed a fellowship at the Sydney Shoulder Research Institute and has furthermore completed a fellowship in limb reconstruction surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London, UK specialising in complex conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow.
