Dr Moopanar sees and treats public, private, workers compensation and third-party patients. You can make an appointment to see Dr Moopanar in his private rooms regardless of your insurance status.

Private patients
As a private patient you can elect to have your surgery performed at any one of the following highly esteemed public and private hospitals Dr Moopanar operates at:
- Royal North Shore Hospital.
- North Shore Private Hospital.
- Mater Hospital.
- Nepean Hospital.
- Nepean Private Hospital.
As a private patient, Dr Moopanar will perform your surgery and attend to your inpatient and post-operative care.
All post-operative appointments for private patients are held in Dr Moopanar’s rooms.
Public patients
As a public patient you have the following 2 options available to you if you require surgery:
Public Waitlist
For elective surgery you can choose to be added to the Public Waitlist (please note that this waitlist can be quite extensive). Your surgery will be performed at one of the following public hospitals that Dr Moopanar operates at:
- Royal North Shore hospital.
- Nepean Hospital.
- Ryde Hospital.
Self-Insured
If you do not wish to be added to the Public Waitlist, you can choose to self-insure. In this case you can elect to have your surgery performed at any hospital Dr Moopanar operates at. Please note that there are substantial costs associated with this option including all surgery, hospital, anaesthetic, assistant and associated fees.
As a public patient aftercare can be conducted in the relevant Public Hospital Outpatient Clinic, with your GP or in Dr Moopanar’s rooms. Please note that aftercare in rooms may attract a fee.

Workers Compensation and third-party patients
As a Workers Compensation or third-party patient, you can have your surgery performed at any one of the following public or private hospitals Dr Moopanar operates at, subject to approval from your Insurer. These hospitals include:
- Royal North Shore Hospital.
- North Shore Private Hospital.
- Mater Hospital.
- Nepean Hospital.
- Nepean Private Hospital.
All associated fees will be directed to your insurer.
